when you order a print or original, eighty percent of the sale will go to one of the organizations below. you pick which one.
I chose these organizations because each one has an approach to our climate and ecological crisises that is different from what many see as "conservation" or "environmentalism."

"Local and indigenous communities are the experts, so we practice an approach we call Radical Listening – asking communities what they need to protect their environment, and investing precisely in their solutions.
Health In Harmony’s Radical Listening is an effective method for facilitating locally-designed, community-led, sustainable interventions that work. Our method is widely applicable to international development, corporate, and nonprofit organizations." - Health In Harmony website

"We use Afro-indigenous agroforestry, silvopasture, wildcrafting, polyculture, and spiritual farming practices to regenerate 80 acres of mountainside land, producing fruits, plant medicine, pasture-raised livestock, honey, mushrooms, vegetables, and preserves for community provisioning, with the majority of the harvest provided to people living under food apartheid and targeted by state violence. Our ancestral farming practices increase topsoil depth, sequester soil carbon, and increase biodiversity. The buildings on the farm are hand-constructed, using local wood, adobe, straw bales, solar heat, and reclaimed materials." - Soul Fire Farm website.

"North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems (NATIFS), a nonprofit organization founded by James Beard award winners The Sioux Chef, is dedicated to addressing the economic and health crises affecting Native communities by re-establishing Native foodways. We imagine a new North American food system that generates wealth and improves health in Native communities through food-related enterprises.
Indigenous Food Lab is an education and training center that will serve as the heart of NATIFS’ work establishing a new Indigenous food system that reintegrates native foods and Indigenous-focused education into tribal communities across North America. We envision a future of developing and supporting Indigenous kitchens and food enterprises in tribal communities, bringing cultural, nutritional, and economic revitalization across North America!"
